This is an important notice regarding your privacy and how Portable Multimedia Limited (referred to as "we," "our," or "us" in this policy) collects and uses your personal data through our "My Nextbase Connect" mobile application. We are committed to being clear and transparent with you, so please contact us if you have any questions about this policy or how we use your personal data.
 
This policy applies to users of our app, third parties who are emergency contacts, and third parties in general. We take our privacy responsibilities very seriously and are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.
 
This policy sets out the basis on which we will process any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us. Please read the following carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it.
 
For the purposes of applicable privacy legislation, the data controller is Portable Multimedia Limited T/A Nextbase, Floor 6, 230 Blackfriars Road, London, SE1 8NW. Our company registration number is 04038169.

The Data Protection Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable data protection legislation and this policy. 1) What information do we retain about you?
 
We may collect, store and use personal data about you (referred to in this privacy policy as   personal information ):
 
Application Users
 
    • Personal contact information such as your name, title, address, telephone number, and email address.
    • Vehicle information such as registration number and vehicle model.

    • Contact information for your registered healthcare professional, including office name and address.
  •  
    • Medical information such as your allergies, prescription medications, blood type, and diabetes information.
  •  
    • Personal information provided to us by third-party service providers we work with, such as platform providers.

    • Location-related data to scan your dash cam for connectivity, verify Emergency SOS eligibility, and send your location using Emergency SOS in the event of an incident

    • Information provided by third-party service providers we work with, such as payment services or platform providers.
2) How will we use your personal information and what is our legal basis for doing so?

    • Prescription drug information that will be communicated to emergency services in the event of a collision – to protect your vital interests when you are unable to give consent as a result of an accident.

    • Information about whether or not you have diabetes will be communicated to emergency services in the event of a collision – to protect your vital interests when you are unable to give consent as a result of an accident.

    • Details of any other relevant medical information provided that will be communicated to emergency services in the event of a collision – to protect your vital interests when you are unable to give consent as a result of an accident.

    • To improve our app and ensure that content is presented in the most effective manner for you and your phone – in pursuit of our legitimate interests (to improve our content and your experience).

    • Your location data is used for the connection of your dash cam – to execute the contract with you.
Third Party Emergency Contacts
 
    • Your personal information – in pursuit of our legitimacy in ensuring that any App User receives relevant assistance while using the "My Nextbase Connect" phone app.
In general
 
    • To administer our application for internal operations, including troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, research, statistical and survey purposes – in pursuit of our legitimate interests (to better understand how users interact with our application and resolve any issues they may have).
  •  
    • To transfer it to third-party service providers in pursuit of our legitimate interests (in outsourcing for improved effectiveness and efficiency).
  •  
    • To contact you if we wish to use your information for a purpose not set out in this policy – ​​to comply with a legal obligation.
3) What happens if there is a change in purpose?

Application Users
 
    • If you have provided personal information during the initial setup of the app, all personal data will be stored for as long as you remain an active user of the app, or where we rely on consent, we will delete your data when you withdraw your consent.
Third Party Emergency Contacts
 
    • We will retain your personal information as long as the app user who added you as an emergency contact remains an active app user or until you revoke your consent.
6) Where we store your personal data
